Ode to my Canon S70

S70 Scars S70 Scars S70 Scars

O trusty S70, you have served me so well
For four years you followed
Like my sidearm on my hip
Ready to slide into action
Off on any sort of trip

Your manual exposure mode is tried and true
Your battle scars prove what you’ve been through
You’re there when my visit to a place needs to be proved

O trusty S70, I will lament the day
When your shutter starts to stick
Or sensor bites the dust
I hope the worn off coatings
Won’t end up becoming rust

Is John McCain qualified to be president?

This is kind of old but Yahoo News interviewed the Republican presidential candidates, asking mundane questions and getting surprisingly revealing answers. One of the questions they asked each candidate was whether they use Mac or PC.

I was actually somewhat disturbed by John McCain’s response:

Neither. I am a illiterate that has to rely on my wife for all of the assistance I can get.

Glumbert – USA vs Japan in the open a beer bottle with a helicopter contest:
This sport is definitely not environmentally sustainable, but these guys sure do have some mad skills!

What We Do is SecretWhat We Do Is Secret premiere dates:
This is the second of the feature films I’ve worked on to actually get released to the public (not counting festivals) as well as the first to get a (non-festival) theatrical release (the other film was direct to DVD)! I don’t even know if I’m in the credits or not. But check the link to see if it’s playing in a theater near you. Just don’t get mad at me if it sucks, haha.

Some more links for your enjoyment:

KEYE-TV (Austin) – Our democracy at work:
One vote one person? Maybe not so much in the Texas state legistlature.

James Duane talks about why you should never talk to the police under any circumstances, ever:
A pretty sobering talk about the 5th amendment. Even if you are completely innocent, and you only tell the truth, the police can, and will use what you say to convict you… and you can’t use what you said to help you!
